Showcase Blog: Caddo River Forest Products Branding
Every agency has those few projects that they are just extremely proud of, and Caddo River Forest Products is one of those for us.
Caddo River Forest Products is a recently reopened lumber mill in Glenwood, Arkansas. Back when Arkansas was first getting into the lumber and sawmill industry, the Bean Lumber Mill was a huge economic boost for the town. After the recession, the mill hit some financial rough patches and ended up closing down. Without that industry helping the Glenwood economy, people started to leave, businesses started shutting down, and the local high school almost had to shut down.
This brought the attention of some big investors from out of state as well and Arkansas elected officials, and a plan was brought forward to reopen the mill under new branding: Caddo River Forest Products.
Our creative team got to really dig in and build their brand identity from the ground up. Working with government officials and executives from the investment firms that reopened the old Bean Lumber Mill in Glenwood, Arkansas, was something new and interesting for our art director, too.
This is really our only current client that is all about community awareness and branding. They aren't selling anything to the public, they aren't trying to convert leads... this project was and is all about helping a small town get back on its feet and flourish once again. That type of client always gives our creative team a lot of freedom with their ideas and concepts, and it's been a blast continuing to showcase how beautiful it is in the area and how CRFP is impacting the community.
